Conundrum

Alright, here's the deal.  Just found out this morning that the local running club and the local community college are hosting a 1/2 mary / 5K.  The run is April 3rd.  So, this is a possible half mary within 10 minutes of the house AND it only costs $40.

Should I run it?

My longest run this year is 3 miles.  That gives me 5 weekends to ramp up the long run to at least 10 miles??

Am I crazy?  Help!

Also, there is this rumor that a certain, pervert, um...blogger may have returned.  If so, where is my freakin comment1!1!

  1. I would go for it, Needle. It won't be pretty, but it likely won't kill you, either. The very first run I ever did in my life was a full marathon, for which I'd done only half ass training. My longest training run was 13 miles. I was TOTALLY in over my head, but it was a great experience nonetheless. I mean, after I got over the paralysis and all...You only go 'round once in life. Make the most of it.

And, yes, Teh Glaven is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm pretty much giddy with excitement, because the rest of you slackers have never quite measured up in terms of your perverted heckling and innuendos. In his comment to me he soemhow managed to use the phrases "camel toe", "reach around" and "back door love". Can you see why I missed this man so much? He is a twisted deviant genius.

You totally derserve a comment, being one of the few bloggers who kept up his broken link. I'm thinking he owes you. If not a comment, then at least a reach around, yes?

  3. Comment? For you?

Pfftt! You're too high maintenance! Get used to it, Needle, I'm totally over you!

And half the time that we were together?

Yeah, I was totally faking it. Those "comments" may have sounded real, but I was totally acting.

And the times I wasn't faking it? I was thinking of someone else. O, let's say .... toyBuM (http://runjoy.blogspot.com/).

    Sure, why not?
